You're No Food Fool book cover

Don't be fooled by food marketing

This fun book shows you how some food companies try to get kids to buy their products using exciting graphics, colourful characters and fun prizes.

Empower your children to see through these clever marketing tactics and give them the knowledge to become clever consumers when it comes to food.

This engaging book teaches them to:

  • Spot advertising tricks designed to influence their choices
  • Decode confusing food labels with confidence
  • Question flashy packaging and celebrity endorsement
  • Make decisions based on actual nutrition, not clever marketing

Because when kids understand the tricks, they make smarter food choices.

You're Not Alone

I created this book because it was something I needed when my own kids were growing up. Like many parents, I often felt overwhelmed trying to counter the messages from a food industry that knows exactly how to appeal to children, and adults for that matter.

“You’re No Food Fool” offers a fresh approach to nutrition education. We all know that while our advice as parents matters, sometimes kids absorb information better when it comes from another source. Learning these tricks before they start purchasing their own food is so important.

My plan is simple: if we raise kids who understand the food landscape and make smarter choices, companies will notice where families spend their money and hopefully develop healthier options to match. Well that’s the dream, so I am doing everything I can to make it come true.

I hope I’m not alone.
